How To Make Homemade Puffy Paint?

Kids love to get messy and crafty, and what could be more fun than homemade puffy paint? This easy-to-make paint is perfect for all sorts of arts and crafts projects, so let's learn how to make homemade puffy paint.

What Do You Need For Puffy Paint?

You'll need just a few simple supplies to make your own puffy paint.

  • 1/4 cup of shaving cream

  • 1/4 cup of white Elmer's glue

  • Gel food coloring

Now that you have your supplies, it's time to start!

Steps:

Step#1

The first step is to mix the shaving cream and glue it in a bowl. We like to use a disposable bowl, so we don't have to worry about cleaning it afterward.

Step#2

Once the shaving cream and glue are mixed, it's time to add your food coloring.

Step#3

Add a few drops of food coloring until you get the desired color. Now your puffy paint is ready to use!

How To Make Paper Plate Flower Crafts?

Paper plate flower crafts are a great way to bring color to a rainy day. Let's learn how to make them!

Material Required

  • Paper plates

  • Paint

  • Large popsicle sticks

  • Paper

  • Sequins

  • Glue

Steps:

Step#1

Start by painting your paper plates in your desired colors. You can paint the entire plate one color or do a fun design like stripes or polka dots. Let the paint dry completely before moving on to the next step.

Step#2

Once the paint is dry, use a pencil to draw a spiral on the back of the plate. Starting from the outside edge, wind the pencil around in a tight spiral until you reach the center of the plate. Cut along the pencil line with scissors.

Step#3

Take your large popsicle sticks and glue them to the back of the paper plate flowers. This will act as the stem for your flower. Allow the glue to dry completely before moving on.

Step#4

To make leaves for your flower, trace an oval shape onto green paper and cut it out. Glue the leaves onto the popsicle sticks, spacing them out evenly.

Step#5

Finally, add some sequins around the outside edge of your paper plate flower for a bit of sparkle. Your flowers are now complete and ready to enjoy!

What are the Easiest Paper Flowers to Make?

Paper flowers are a beautiful and easy way to decorate for a party, wedding, or other event. There are many different kinds of paper flowers, but some of the most popular and easy-to-make varieties include roses, carnations, and lilies.

Paper Roses

Paper roses can be made by folding a square piece of paper in half, then in half again, and then cutting out a spiral shape. Once the spiral is cut out, it can be wrapped around a pencil to form a bud, and then fluffed out into a full bloom.

Paper Carnations

Paper carnations are made by cutting thin strips of paper and then rolling them into tight coils. The coils are then glued or stitched together to form the flower.

Paper Lilies

Paper lilies are made by folding a rectangular piece of paper in half lengthwise, then cutting it into a series of curved shapes. Once the shapes are cut out, they can be rolled into cones and glued or stitched together to form the lily.

How To Make A Windsock?

One great activity for a rainy day is making a windsock. Windsocks are easy to make and are a great way to learn about the wind. They look pretty hanging in the yard or from a tree branch. Here's how to make a windsock for kids:

Materials Required

  • One recycle bag.

  • One empty plastic container.

  • Clear packing tape.

  • String or yarn.

  • Optional: ribbon or streamers to decorate.

Steps:

Step#1

Cut the bottom off of the plastic container. This will be the top of the windsock.

Step#2

Tape the top of the container to one end of the recycle bag. Make sure it's secure with plenty of tapes.

Step#3

Tape the string or yarn to the other end of the recycle bag. This will be used to hang up your windsock later.

Step#4

Decorate your windsock with ribbon or streamers, if you like, and hang up your windsock outside and watch it dance in the wind!
