Create Halloween Paper Mobiles

Creating Halloween paper mobiles is a fun and easy way to add a touch of spooky fun to your home. All you need is some paper, string, and scissors. Follow these simple steps to create your own fantastic Halloween paper mobile.

Materials Required

Some A4 Sheets.

  • Glue.

  • Thin string.

  • Scissors.

  • Hole puncher.

Steps:

  1. First, cut out some Halloween-themed shapes from construction paper or cardstock. Bats, ghosts, pumpkins, and spiders are all great options. Make sure to cut out a few extra pieces if you make any mistakes.

  2. Make a hole in the top of each shape with a hole puncher, pencil, or pen. This is where you'll thread the string through.

  3. Glue similar pieces together to make them sturdier.

  4. Thread the string through the holes in all the shapes. Then tie knots between each, so they don't slide around.

  5. Now it's time to start assembling your mobile! Arrange the shapes however you like and start attaching them to the string. You can make your mobile as simple or complex as you want.

  6. Lastly, hang your mobile up in a window or from the ceiling.

Trick-or-Trick Bags - Nicole Swalm

Ghost Candy Bags

  • Cut two pieces of white paper in the shape of a ghost.

  • Sew the two pieces together, leaving a hole at the top for candy.

  • Add spooky decoration elements outside, like a spider web or more ghosts.

  • Your ghost candy bag is ready to collect some candy souls.

Paper Coffin Candy Bags

  • Cut two pieces of black construction paper into rectangles measuring 8.5" x 11".

  • Place the two rectangles together and fold them in half lengthwise.

  • Using a bone folder or other blunt tool, crease the fold firmly.

  • Open the paper and fold each side towards the center crease, ensuring the edges line up perfectly. You should now have a paper bag that is 4" x 8.5".

  • Fold the top of the bag down 1", crease well, and then unfold. This will be the flap for your coffin lid.

  • Repeat the fold and crease procedure on the other side of the bag.

  • Take a piece of black embroidery floss and tie it tightly around both creases to hold them together firmly.

  • Using the same floss piece, tie the bag's ends to make a loop.

  • Using a pencil or pen, inscribe your name and date on the bag's flap, then glue it shut with a glue stick.

  • Using a marker, draw an eerie scene on the front of your bag. Your coffin bag is ready!

Frankenstein Bags

  • Cut two large pieces of green felt in the shape of a rectangle. These will be the front and back of the bag.

  • On one of the rectangles, cut out a Frankenstein face shape. You can use a template or freehand this step.

  • Sew the two rectangles around the edges, leaving an opening at the top of the bag.

  • Turn the bag right side out and stuff it with batting or other material.

  • Sew the opening closed using a whip stitch or other hand-sewing stitch.

  • Decorate the bag as desired using black fabric paint or markers.
